Rest in Peace Delayed

The Supreme Court in Reykjavik Iceland has ruled that the body of the late Bobby Fischer,former World Chess Champion, is to be exhumed in order to satisfy a paternity test case.
Nine year old Jinky Young is laying claim to Fischers' estate which is estimated to be worth two million dollars. Her mother, along with relatives and the United States government are all looking to cash in. Mr Fischer left behind no will after his demise in 2008.
A district court had ruled ealier that there were not suficient grounds to perform an exhumation. Lawyers argued that this was a needed last resort attempt. It was previously believed that an Icelandic hospital had kept Fischer's blood samples but none were found.
The American, Bobby Fischer, became famous for winning the World Chess Championship in 1972 and sending the Russian Boris Spaassky home in defeat. The event was deemed the "match of the century".
Bobby Fischer was laid to rest just 30 miles south of Reykjavik in a church cemetery

Dickinson Texas is a small rural town and yet it too has apparent slum lord. Some people take advantage of the needs of others in ways that we might consider despicable. You be the judge. This ome does not meet state regulation standards by any means.

Slum lords exist even in Dickinson Texas

This picture gallery is of a rental home in Dickinson, Texas.  It is unfit by any legal terms for human habitation but is rented out for the going rate of $550 plus matching deposit and outdoor pet deposits (because of fleas although fleas exist among the other bugs and varmiints) and $200 indoor pet deposit.  All windows are sealed shut, back steps broken, bqack door is unusable, parts of building are open to outside, building is unpainted, building has mold, there is inadequate ventilation and the outside is littered with wood and construction debris, tree limbs, concrete pieces and miscelleneous leftovers.  There are several non working lights and fans while  98% of the electical covers are non existent and electrical wiring hangs from ceilings.

The list continues..... 

A person may be poor....why must they be forced to live poor?  Why are landlords allowed to rent places in such conditions?  the owner of this property owns even more such places,

Will we ever learn?

The slogan on this banner says it all.  The question still remains, "Do we ever really learn what is truly happening?  Do we e ver learn from our mistakes?"

MY question now is, "Will we now see BP in bankruptcy court and a petroleum industry that needs a bailout?"  Hmmmm!!!!?

The latest gimmick to come out of the fitness craze is a definite winner.  Why not have people exercise on a stationary bike to create electricity and receive a voucher in return for food, service or whatever.  Can you imagine if this idea were somehow applied to the homeless and poverty stricken people of this country?  It means going green, helping people, helping society and helping the economy... all in one simple package.
